About Our Organization
The NHS Human Services Foundation is the charitable arm of NHS, one of the nationís largest providers of education and human services. Through its fundraising activities, the Foundation enables NHS programs the opportunity to provide the highest quality of care to all consumers despite public funding cuts and the stressed economic climate. The Foundation subsidizes where funding falls short, in an effort to administer seamless uninterrupted care for the individuals who depend upon our services.
With a rich tradition spanning nearly 50 years, NHS is at the forefront of providing care and services to people with special needs. Today, NHS through its subsidiaries is a leading provider of community-based, non-profit education and human services. More than 10,000 employees provide care to more than 50,000 adults, children, and families throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Louisiana, and Michigan. NHS has developed a unique continuum of care providing services in the areas of mental health, addictive diseases, education, foster care and permanency, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and many more specialized programs.
